How much does it cost?
Individual Counselling
- £45.00 – Initial session face-to-face or online – 60 minutes
- £60.00 -Face-to-face or online counselling session – 60 minutes
Discounted block booking:
- £225.00 – 4 face-to-face or online sessions – 60 minutes
- £335.00 – 6 face-to-face or online sessions – 60 minutes
Couples Therapy / Couples Counselling / Relationship Counselling
- £75 – Initial couples therapy session face-to-face – 60 minutes
- £95 – Face to face couples counselling session – 60 minutes
Discounted Couple Therapy block booking:
- £360.00 – 4 face-to-face couples therapy sessions – 60 minutes
- £540.00 – 6 face-to-face couples therapy sessions -60 minutes
Concessions available for NHS workers, students and others at my discretion.
An additional call out charge of a minimum of £30.00 will be added per visit. This is to cover additional time it will take to come to you and the cost of travel incurred.

What is an Initial Session?
Your initial session is your first counselling session where you meet me, Caroline either online through Zoom or face-to-face. This initial session will include some administration outlining how we will work together, discussion on frequency of sessions, length of therapy and possible referrals to other professionals. It will also be your first counselling session and will be the start of clarifying your needs and identifying the best way forward. At the end of the initial session you have the autonomy to book your next session if you feel that I am the right counsellor for you. There is no obligation to continue after your initial session.
What is the Initial Couples Therapy Session?
During the initial Couples Therapy Session you will meet me, Caroline face-to-face and we will go through some administration outlining how we will work together. We will explore your relationship together in a safe, non-judgemental environment and decide upon shared goals for your couples therapy which we will work together towards. I only offer in person Couples Therapy.
How do I book a session?
You can book an appointment by contacting me through email: carolineellisoncounselling@gmail.com or calling 07818 798597. Please let me know if you want an individual therapy session or a couple therapy session. Once your appointment is booked you will receive an email confirmation. You can change or cancel your appointment via email or telephone however, please give 24 hours notice of any changes or cancellations*. Please note, you will be invoiced at time of booking and payment is due before the appointment**.
Is online or telephone counselling available?
I offer Online counselling which is done through Zoom for individual counselling.
I do not offer telephone counselling.
When are appointments offered?
We can discuss appointment times when you get in touch.
How many sessions will I need and how frequently?
I recommend a minimum of 6 sessions, 1 session per week. The aim is to help clients work towards their desired goals as effectively and efficiently as possible. Most clients choose to have regular weekly sessions to make the most out of the process.
What is an Accredited Member of the BACP?
Accredited Member (MBACP – Accred) – Accreditation is a quality status for experienced practitioners who can demonstrate high standards of competent and ethical practice. Becoming a BACP accredited member involves a detailed application and assessment process that takes several months to complete. BACP accreditation is a widely valued quality status designed to recognise high standards of knowledge, experience and development.
